We had free admission coupons to get in so it was only $12 for 4 skate rentals. They are open all week and on weekends and it is very clean. It was a new experience and lots of fun! There is an arcade and a snack bar and my kids loved it! Very beautiful in the winter, since its the only ice pond around!

We have been to the Greensboro Icehouse skating rink a few times and have had fun but not this time. This was the first time we have taken a child here. My nephew was almost 5 when we took him and by the end he was saying he didnt want to go back. There was very little control or supervision as to what was happening on the ice. The older kids would come by and cut the little ones off making it hard for the little ones because they just get scared. Im pretty sure the Icehouse has been around for a while as the building itself (not the ice) is pretty run down/old looking inside. They have a lot of parking. They do offer packages for birthdays. We thought the prices where good for this type of activity.

The Greensboro Ice House is a great place to take the family or a date skating. The Ice House is open year round and you can have Birthday parties there as well. They do rent out skates if you dont have your own. The prices are very reasonable. They have public skating, adult skating, summer camps, skating and hockey lessons and so much more. Even if you dont like skating its a great experience for your children. And with the heat we get in our area of NC what a better place to cool down.
