Not Your Usual Pediatrician

We have been using Dr. Boette since my daughter was born in 2007. We chose him because of his support of breastfeeding, his conservative use of antibiotics, and his attitude of letting the parent make the decisions for their child. We do a delayed vaccination schedule, and he's always been ok with that. The only thing is that he's not a warm and fuzzy doctor. He tells it like it is and never offers advice unless he's asked. His style works great for us, but not for everyone. Also, his office is very small, and I've never had to wait a long time to see him--we're always in and out. And if you call after hours, it goes straight to his cell phone and he will answer your question himself.

My daughter has been seeing Dr. Boette at Greensboro Children's Doctor since her first birthday. We have always been very pleased with the office, the staff, and Dr. Boette. One of the things we like the best about Dr. Boette is that he is very supportive of attachment parenting and extended breastfeeding. He also allows us some flexibility in our vaccination schedule. His wife is a lactation consultant. Dr. Boette was a great comfort and resource to me when my daughter was having trouble learning to eat food and would only nurse. Additionally, he is not a doctor who is immediate to prescribe antibiotics to cure every little illness, and has been willing to talk with me and work with me on alternatives. Overall, we have been very happy with the pediatrician and would definitely recommend him to other parents and families in the Greensboro area!
